Technology changes all the time, and your students are constantly finding the newest websites, apps and gadgets. It’s vital they learn the rules of Internet safety so they can use technology responsibly. The information provided will not only assist you in understanding the online challenges your students face, but also suggest some tips for you as an educator. This personal safety presentation focuses on information gathered from the Indiana State Police (ISP) and Indiana Crimes against Children Task Force (ICAC) Task Force. Topics include:

• The pitfalls of posting too much information
• The challenges some types of apps, websites and games present
• The downside of posting and sharing inappropriate photos
• The many types of online predators and how they target victims
